Repair Center Supervisor
Lead a high-performing team in product repair and sustainability!
As the Repair Center Supervisor at Fenix Outdoor, you will lead a skilled team of apparel repair specialists, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations while promoting sustainability and circularity initiatives. In this role, you’ll oversee workflows, manage inventory, and collaborate across departments to deliver high-quality garment repairs that extend the life of our products and enhance customer satisfaction.
This is a full-time, hourly position based in Aurora, CO with a salary range of $23.00-$26.44 per hour.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
You will lead and develop the Repair Center team, manage daily operations, and ensure exceptional craftsmanship and efficiency in all repairs. Your responsibilities will include:
Team Leadership & Development
- Supervise and mentor a team of apparel repair specialists, providing hands-on training and support to develop their skills in sewing, mending, and garment restoration
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, promoting accountability and craftsmanship
Operations & Inventory Management
- Oversee daily repair workflows, including garment inspections, stitching, alterations, and modifications, ensuring productivity targets and quality standards are met
- Maintain and monitor inventory of fabric, notions, branded parts, sewing tools, and repair equipment
- Place scheduled and ad-hoc orders for materials, including zippers, thread, patches, and machine maintenance supplies
- Identify qualified items for the Pre-Loved program, assign quality categories, photograph, and upload items
- Track and report on productivity, workflows, and operational efficiency
Craftsmanship & Quality Control
- Oversee and perform complex garment repairs, including zipper replacements, patching, and mending, ensuring all work meets Fenix Outdoor’s brand standards
- Ensure all garment repairs met Fenix Outdoor's brand standards for durability, functionality, and appearance
- Maintain and troubleshoot industrial sewing machines, sergers, and high-heat tools to ensure safe and effective operations
Collaboration & Sustainability
- Work cross-functionally with retail stores, customer experience, and warranty teams to provide seamless repair services
- Support circularity initiatives, including the Pre-Loved program, and advocate for responsible product life extension
WHO YOU ARE
Experience and Technical Skills
- Two or more years of experience supervising and teaching teams of 3+ employees (preferred
- Strong technical expertise in apparel repair, including zipper replacement, patching, and mending
- Proficiency with industrial sewing machines, sergers, and high-heat tools
- Experience with inventory management and ordering supplies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
- Experience with Zendesk is a plus
- Proficient in English language and basic math
Traits and Attributes
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with experience tracking productivity and workflows
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities across multiple teams and locations
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and precision
Physical Requirements
- Able to stand for extended periods
- Comfortable occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs.
