Marketing Junior Copywriter
Location: Louisville, CO (in-office Mon-Thu, remote option Friday)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $70,000 annually
As a Junior Copywriter at Fjällräven, you will help shape how our brand speaks to the world. Working closely with the Associate Creative Director and broader Creative and Marketing Teams, you'll bring ideas to life through thoughtful, engaging and distinctly Fjällräven storytelling.
From big campaign concepts to the smallest product details, you'll help create compelling copy that connects with our audience, supports business objectives and strengthens our brand voice across every touchpoint.
We're looking for someone who loves words, thinks creatively and understands that great copy isn't just about sounding good. It's about saying something worth hearing. Someone who can turn a product feature into a meaningful benefit, a simple insight into a compelling story and a creative brief into something unexpected.
This is a hands-on role with plenty of opportunities to learn, contribute ideas and grow as a creative.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Work collaboratively with the Creative and Marketing Teams to develop and execute connected brand experiences, campaigns and content aligned with business objectives.
Write clear, compelling and engaging copy across email, social media, ecommerce, performance marketing, retail and other consumer-facing channels.
Support the development of seasonal campaigns, product launches and brand storytelling initiatives, contributing original ideas, headlines, messaging and creative concepts.
Translate larger campaign ideas into thoughtful, channel-specific copy that maintains a consistent brand voice while adapting to different audiences and platforms.
Develop product-focused copy that communicates key features, functionality and benefits in a way that is informative, engaging and true to the Fjällräven brand.
Create social-first and platform-native copy, from engaging captions and short-form video scripts to creator collaborations and emerging storytelling formats.
Collaborate with Art Directors, Designers, Content Creators and other creative partners to develop ideas where words and visuals work together to tell a stronger story.
Support the development of in-store marketing, merchandising and retail messaging in collaboration with the Visual Merchandising Team.
Contribute to original content ideas, editorial storytelling and brand narratives that help build a deeper connection between Fjällräven, our audience and the outdoors.
Proofread, edit and refine copy to ensure accuracy, clarity, consistency and alignment with brand guidelines.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand project objectives, incorporate feedback and deliver creative solutions that meet both brand and business needs.
Manage multiple projects and deadlines, balancing quick turn copy requests with longer-term creative initiatives.
Stay curious about culture, consumer behavior, outdoor lifestyles and evolving storytelling formats, bringing fresh perspectives and relevant ideas into the creative process.
WHAT YOU BRING
We're not looking for someone who just fills in copy boxes. We want a thinker, a writer and a doer. Someone who's curious about the world, has a point of view and isn't afraid to bring new ideas to the table.
You should love the creative process, from the first messy brainstorm to the final round of edits. You understand that great work comes from collaboration, that feedback makes ideas better and that sometimes the smallest headline takes the most thought.
You don't need to know everything. But you should want to learn everything. If you love the outdoors, even better. If you love making great work with good people, we're off to a great start.
You bring:
Bachelor's degree in Advertising, Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing, or related field; or equivalent practical experience.
2+ years of copywriting experience, preferably in an agency, in-house creative team or consumer-facing brand environment.
Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills with a sharp eye for detail.
Portfolio demonstrating creative thinking, strong writing and the ability to adapt tone and messaging across different formats and channels.
Ability to develop compelling headlines, campaign concepts, product copy and short-form content.
Understanding of brand voice and the ability to maintain consistency while adapting copy for different audiences and platforms.
Experience writing for digital channels, including email, social media, ecommerce and paid media.
Ability to translate complex product information into clear, engaging and consumer-friendly language.
Strong conceptual thinking and a willingness to contribute ideas beyond the written word.
Comfortable receiving feedback, collaborating on others' ideas and refining work to make it stronger.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
A curious, collaborative and proactive attitude with an eagerness to learn and grow.
Preferred (but not required)
Interest in outdoor culture, nature, sustainability and thoughtful product design is a plus.
Familiarity with SEO, content strategy and digital marketing best practices is preferred.
